World

By Chie Theresa Fujioka

The whole world died,
but I did not know.
For atop a lonely hill I did abide,
where the wind of emotion did not blow.
I needed no one by my side.
I was happy even though
to myself I lied.

"There is less in this than meets the eye." - Tallulah [Brockman] Bankhead (1903 - 1968)
