Soulfire

By Sam Marston

You cradled my shattered soul in your arms.
You picked up the pieces that were always broken.
I know you mean me no harms.
I should have never spoken.

That day I told you l loved you.
You called it a mistake.
But to live without you,
Is a pain I cannot take.

I know you didnt do it out of love,
You did it out of a pure heart,
You came into my life like a pure white dove.
To save my life, you did your part.

Dont feel bad, you've done me no wrong.
You just wanted to be my friend.
Your understanding song,
Has put my suffering to an end.
