Two knights on lifes war-path knew not what to say
The grail both desired, Shed choose but one way
From friendship to folly forsooth the fight flew
Clouds crashing, swords slashing, the spoken sparks slew
Dreams dashing, tongues lashing, the enmity grew
The bitterest blight bled, the brothers one bane
For fortune fore destined these friends to be twain
(My 45th VoU sub! I wanted to submit my poem "The Teacher's Tale" which was an addition to Cantebury Tales... but i cant seem to find the full version. Thats ok, tho, it wasnt as polished as i wanted. This was written in the style of anglosaxon poetry: two emphasized syllables in each half line, alliteration)
