Kiss of Death

By Chie Theresa Fujioka

I dwell waiting in your heart
you, I from society part
the frosty chill invading your spine
warning paranoia of your final time.
piercing pain, poison pervaded, of the serpent knife
ere it strikes to seize your life
the hungry tongues of soul eating fire
of breath sucked away at my desire
shooting searing sparks into your scarred mind
the ghostly whispered voice of omen in the wind
spawn, in you, of the liquid red lust
sprouted from my seeds of mistrust
the beastly hand of ice lowering your lids
as the deepest oppressor bids
the black dizziness, the enthralling call
pitching soul and body into its downward fall.
I am the helplessly followed path
leading all to a sudden silent wrath.

I am the unbidden harbinger, luring the sisters three
to you
as the vile master's foul perversion of black you bleed.

I am your fear.
