Burnout

By Chie Theresa Fujioka

A morbid cloak surrounds mine eyes

Blinded mystery before me lies

My future morphs within it's place

by wisdom, folly face to face

A darkness like black burning flame

Slithers about: a snake untame

Lonely is a path of death

Struggle I the more for my breath

And rotting like a withered leaf

Burn out in winter's grief

*this was written about someone else, along with myself... interestingly enough when I sent it to him, he knew it was about him. Cubanisimo! let's dance latino!)
