I was ranting at a coworker about another coworker today, and I said "I'm sure you'd rather have my reputation than his." Dead silence.

Insecurity is your friend: "What is my reputation? Be honest, I'm tough."

"How was it put to me? You are a customer of the company that sells brooms with just the handle."

I have a stick up my butt???!!! Yes, I've heard this before, but I'm always expecting "cranky, lazy, yet competent". I suppose "anal" now, too! And humorless!

No, I won't be obsessing about this for days or anything, really, honest. Not at all.
