Say it! (for Nicholas and Rhiannon) By: Christa Sims on 10/3/2005; 6:16 AM Say it in a whisper Say it in a bellow; Say it with anger, Say it when you're mellow, But SAY IT!. Say it when you find I've eaten the last piece of chocolate cake. Say it when I'm late. Say it as you hurry to my side. Say it when you find I'm beside myself with rage at your latest find in the shops. Say it as you are welcomed with open arms home to Christadom. Say it as the very essence of me is stretched almost to breaking point as I pant and puff, wracked with pain to give name to our lust. Say it as she comes out,wet and squealing pink, wrinkled, bald ,but to us BEAUTIFUL. Say it as I get the news; Sorry, you can seek other views, But in our opinion The best news is you have 12 months To see her grow. Say it as I lie for days, not washing and cry for what I'll never have and what she'll never know. Say it as I am battered and bruised by strange growths in the brain, the part that makes me (sane?) And I lose all dignity to former colleagues as they wash and dress me like the child I have now become. Say it as I close my eyes one last time,no more lies to tell or listen to. Say it as I take my last breath, You with your health and years to live. I have none left. Say it to me. Tell me you love me. SAY IT because I know you do. Ps; PLEASE PRINT
