Cruel Celestial Prophecy
By: Gene Santos on 9/13/2003; 5:02 AM

appear to us blessed,and redefine
a flower in your hair, human eyes make haste
warmth from your hand, carries burgundy fire of hope
a hope, that made life come back in the middle of it...

a kiss for the good and repentant...

INFIDELS!!!!!for the sinners...

you lay your judgements down on to them
the griever of grieve expunge hate
hate swallowed by your black hole heart
a heart,carrying the burden of life's multiverse...

after it all...you kneel...

and got back from the stairs of light you came from...

Should art be criticized even if it is (or is not) good?

Having crashed steel with Mr. Loredo not too long ago, having known the full arsenal of his textual battlestations; I seek no war with either of the opposing parties.

However

I have several interesting queries, the first being; if someone posts something on VoU, then should it be open to blatant fun making?, such as in this case... it was up to Gene to post whatever he posted, he did not have to post it, if someone reads a post... should they not be allowed to react honestly (with the reasonable exception to defamation of character and blathering (which I am imminently in danger of committing)) to the posted poem/piece?

Or...

Secondly, should it rather be that art is the ultimate expression of one's ability to create and conceptualize those things which please the individual, and not necessarily the public... so that these ideas (ie: cruel celestial prophecy), should be free from outside fun making and only open to praise and helpful criticism.

?

Wondering... ben

Hmm it's a little obscure. I can't make out what it is trying to say although I don't think it's biblical or anything because it has this certain tone to it that the prophetic terms are just imageries of something else. anyway I choose the second one ben, although I can't help but commint the first one either. Blech. I'm having trouble keeping up with all the conversations. Good! Elsewhere I've written a response to Ben C's question, above.
