Sunsets (upon request) By: Andrew Paul McEwen on 9/8/2000; 11:56 PM I sit there and just stare at a few pretty colors I sit because I know that it is a safe spot to sit and I know that I must get to a safe location soon if I am running outside It could be an inherited trait to allow the mind to recognize that it will soon be night and that you need to get to a safe location soon I sit out in the rain and watch on my patio, watch the rain hit the green leaves Watch the drops go down into the soil of what needs it to live I see the ants carrying on their life while all this happens Birds flying to their young with a fresh meal All of this while I sit there and watch The fighting for life that is the ripples of my pool as the rain gives each atom life I then look out further upon the golf course This man made thing That creates the border of nature
