Upon Hearing A Poem of Dylan Thomas By: R.A.B. on 2/23/2003; 7:23 AM “Rage, rage against the dying of the light”, this prince of Welsh poets wrote and made, made fathers move away from their graves. Oh what an honor it is to have heard what is his, For my spirit seems to adore what he sees. Beautiful maidens who’s hard-fought are caught, and Men’s heart of stones go broke- For no mortal can resist his golden words, yet I doubt if even God wouldn’t give into his words. Magnificence don’t leave me be! Take me to the translucent skies with thee! As the warmth of your thoughts came to me while I was asleep, Laying in white sheets ,flat lined and being shocked to breathe Because of you the world seemed so good, and for once I’ve felt so good, so I opened my eyes, and let good ol’ heart go to work, to give the brave healers a chance to do their share of the work.
