A fresh start By: Brian Webber on 10/20/2002; 3:21 PM Well, the slow and tedious process of removing all plagarized work (or in the case of an article re-titled Censorship is as Bad as Homophobia, PARTIALLY plagarized) continues. Soon all my bad work will be removed from published land and will rot in off-Topic hell. Unless of course Mark can figure out how to just flippin' remove them from the site all together. With my interview with a Congressional candidate coming up, plus my soon-to-be-written reflections on Michael Moore's new move Bowling For Columbine (opening in two Denver area theatres October 25th), it'll be the start of a new day for Brian D Webber. Oh, and I think I'll have another update for my story A Mile High soon enough. I may also change the title.
RE: A fresh start By: Mark Morgan on 10/20/2002; 3:34 PM Brian, please don't post these offtopic messages in the main discussion group any more--park them in the Cauldron of Story instead. As for removing them, I will do so. I just now got caught up on publishing everything and I'm working hard to try and add some much-needed automation and usability improvements around here.
RE: A fresh start By: Brian Webber on 10/20/2002; 3:51 PM What the hell are you talking about? I put this in my Incoherent Clarity journal!
RE: A fresh start By: Brian Webber on 10/20/2002; 3:59 PM BTW, why DID my Jounral posting show up here? Do all of them do that now?
RE: A fresh start By: Mark Morgan on 10/20/2002; 4:10 PM Ah. I think I mentioned that those were going offline. -- ---Mark Morgan http://www.voicesofunreason.com/ "obeisances before the written word" Use Conversant! Now! Or no cookies for you! http://free-conversant.com/
RE: A fresh start By: Mark Morgan on 10/20/2002; 4:18 PM They always have--that's why I decided to rethink them. -- ---Mark Morgan http://www.voicesofunreason.com/ "obeisances before the written word" Use Conversant! Now! Or no cookies for you! http://free-conversant.com/
RE: A fresh start By: Brian Webber on 10/21/2002; 4:07 PM So, what, does this mena I can't post anything in my Journal anymore unless it's an essay, fiction, or poem? Then why bother having one at all? Am I just confused?
RE: A fresh start By: Mark Morgan on 10/21/2002; 4:24 PM To be specific, yes, I'm eliminating the Journals, probably for good. I was going to expand them, but I decided they would be more work than they are worth, and probably outside the site's scope. I'll leave the actual pages so that you and I can both go through and retrieve everything, and then I'll probably delete everything in them.
RE: A fresh start By: Brian Webber on 10/21/2002; 8:15 PM There's really only one thing I want to copy-n-paste onto a text file. The rest can just be deleted (especially some of the mean things Peter said to me). Then again, the thing where I announce my candidacy for the 2012 senate race would make a funny essay. :-)
