Where is the wreckage? By: Brian Webber on 4/30/2002; 11:35 PM I watched, like most of you did, the event os Spetember 11th. I overslept though, plus I REALLY had to use the bathroom so the only part of that tragic day I really saw live was the second tower collapsing. Not a day goes by when I don't think about the planes going into the buildings, especially the different tapes of the second plane from various angles and distances. The bits of plane hanging out of the towers, the wreckage in Philladelphia, the hole in the Pentagon... And a few weeks ago, it hit me! Where was the plane wreckage at the Pentagon? They've shown canned footage of the building from the day of, and the day after the September 11th terrorist attacks, and it occurs to me that the wreckage of that flight is conspicuously absent. Then there was that 'video' they eventually released of the impact. You see a small blur, and then a fireball, but no actual plane hitting the building. Does this bother anyone else? I don't doubt that that plane was hijacked, and the people on board are as dead as those in the Pentagon. But, where is the plane wreckage? Where are the parts of the plane? The NTSB left the parts they found in Philly where they found them until the investigation was in full swing. Any plane parts found at the WTC site were taken in soon as possible, and shown on TV. So, answer me this. WHERE the hell did that fourth plane really go, if not into the Pentagon, and if it WASN'T a plane that hit it, what the hell blew it up? I have no theories of my own. I'm not a conspiracy theorist by trade. But this concerns me, more than a little.
RE: Where is the wreckage? By: ScottN on 5/1/2002; 11:26 AM Brian, May I refer you to here: http://www.snopes2.com/rumors/pentagon.htm?
RE: Where is the wreckage? By: Brian Webber on 5/1/2002; 12:47 PM Were that from any site other than Snope, I doubt I would've beleived it.
RE: Where is the wreckage? By: Richard Davidson on 5/9/2002; 5:58 PM Brian: My God, man, are you still here? I always thought Carnell was our conspiracy guy, but you DID once compare our society to that of Nazi Librarians, which I personally didn't understand at all. Mark, and Snopes are correct on this, but I have a little something to say about Snopes: They don't look as deep into everything as they could. What I mean is, they are right MOST of the time, that is true, but not always. I wish I had an example, but I can't think of one right now. They did a nice job of disproving that horrible rumor that Daffy Duck was making porn films, and for that I will always thank them. But I'm pretty sure their mistakes come when it regards the world of politics. I'm pretty sure they "de-bunked" some Bush idiocies, oh yeah! it was the Bush waving at Stevie Wonder thing, and their explanation reads much like Karl Rove's faxes. They are an excellent resource for me to de-bunk everything people send me in those annoying emails, though. I'll get money for forwarding an email. What kind of idiot rube do these people take me for? I detest Urban Legends, but I think those of us here at this board should START one, or more. Let's have a contest, with no prizes, for the best NEW Urban Legend. You can enter as many times as you like. I'll go first: Wrangler jeans are made out of a type of cotton that has been genetically altered. It causes sterility in men. (Of course, I'll make it all elaborate, and invent a story about a friend of a friend, just to make it sell)

And what makes you think I did understand it? :) I am, for the record, the anti-conspiracy guy. I'm even suspicious of this alleged conspiracy that supposedly killed Julius Caesar. Sounds kinda fishy to me.
RE: Where is the wreckage? By: ScottN on 5/12/2002; 5:13 PM Richard Davidson Propounded Thusly: >I always thought Carnell was our conspiracy guy, <PARANOID-CONSPIRACY-THEORY> No, that's just what they want you to think! :-P </PARANOID-CONSPIRACY-THEORY>
