If You Can't Drive Properly. . . By: Aradia on 3/20/2002; 12:41 AM ...then get off the roads! Especially if you go too slow. Or can't see that there's a cop in the next lane over, two cars ahead. The cop in the marked cruiser, dummy. Okay, so I only started driving in '99. But even by now, I've started to understand why my brother says that people are idiots when it comes to driving. Two incidents come to mind right away. Incident one: My brother was driving on the freeway (and I was with him). There was a marked cruiser in the center lane, so naturally, no one's going to go over the speed limit. There was this silly girl in the Altima behind us, who was getting all upset 'cause she couldn't go around my brother. Who wasn't speeding 'cause of the cop. Soon as she could, she got into the center lane, sped around my brother, and apparently tried to run him into the freeway barrier while cutting him off. Unfortunately, she didn't succeed, since she didn't touch his vehicle. The heavy duty Jeep Cherokee Pioneer. I think she got pulled over by the other cop on the freeway. Incident two: I was driving my mother's mini van, and some idiot in a tiny li'l Ford slowed to make a right turn into a gas station. As I was behind this person, I naturally slowed. Almost crushed the car. 'Cause they came to a complete stop in the lane on a busy road. Then made the turn at the speed of one quarter snail. While I was doing forty. When I managed to come to a complete stop, I was a couple inches from the other car's bumper. It was a little Focus. I was in a much bigger Toyota Previa. I'd have smeared them on Country Club Drive. What's my point to this seemingly pointless essay? Other than drivers are stupid, nothing.
