< < What Chaucer forgot Before Today > >

I woke up again today
within the half-closed sleepy gaze
of this early morning misty haze
and I found my only friend
the silver glimmer of this blade
shows to me the tears I never cried
tears never down this shimmer glide.

I stand up in my corner
elevated on my stool of praise
and look out over the people you claimed
say I'm not like them in drab gray
thoughts in their souls and emotions on their minds
I don't see the difference between us
we all know razers wound and heal us.

What makes me desire
more than these infatuations?
Dancing red satin to some exotic tune,
Swimming through the embers with my sunset eyes
fixed on aqua vases shattering with lies
Like unicorns dying as we graze them
Their beauty draws us to them, makes us hate them.

I need to know
I can feel something inside
Let me go
I am empty everywhere
I wasted all my tears
