DSL!!!! By: Mark Morgan on 1/5/2002; 2:11 PM High-speed connectivity is supposedly coming to World Command Central Portland. Does anyone know a good firewall for the Mac, OS 8.6? Inexpensive is better.

Yes, it's called Mac OS X, which has one built in. ^_^ Seriously, I suggest VersionTracker.com to see if there's any shareware/freeware options. It should also list commercial products as well. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Get your free @yahoo.com address at http://mail.yahoo.com
RE: DSL!!!! By: Mark Morgan on 1/5/2002; 8:40 PM You have any idea what I had to go through to convince Queen Aradia that we needed DSL? A new OS is right out...
RE: DSL!!!! By: Aradia on 1/7/2002; 7:57 PM Well, I remain unconvinced that we actually need DSL. But I gathered that, had I continued to balk, I would never hear the end of it. Most times, the sensible woman will give in, rather than listen to the subject being endlessly brought up...and up...and up...and up...and up...and up...and up...and up... I'd rather listen to Britney Spears and Celine Dion do a duet of that annoying Titanic song.
RE: DSL!!!! By: Mark Morgan on 1/7/2002; 10:25 PM Considering those feelings, perhaps Her Majesty will be only using dialup so as not to dirty herself with high-speed connectivity?
RE: DSL!!!! By: Evan on 1/8/2002; 9:50 PM ARGGHHHH the Titanic song has got to be the second most annoying song in all of creation (The first being, "The Song that Doesn't End". Arggh I can barely even think about it without getting it stuck in my head.). As if the song weren't bad enough it had to be associated with the movie. Well actually I enjoyed the movie because I was perpetually making fun of it (eventually I had to do it my head as I saw it while I was away on a French exchange program and the family did not appreciate my comments). Without the running commentary in my head though, it would quite possibly have been the worst movie I've ever seen. Of course I've never been in to movies that are supposed to be taken seriously.
RE: DSL!!!! By: ScottN on 1/9/2002; 3:12 PM "I know a song that gets on everybody's nerves" runs a close third, Evan...
