Burning Down the Town (Everlasting High)
By: Sarah on 10/21/2001; 4:23 PM

Were not as stupid as you think,

weve already gained our vision

You better gasp for air before you sink,

Because its your only provision.

Weve learned the rules of life,

you've discouraged our wisdom

and you better watch it because were out tonight.

Were mad, were strong, and were young.

{ Chorus - Good ridence and goodbye, Im leavining this everlasting high, I dont need this place any more, and i plan to end the neverending war}

Adrenalins pumping through these vains,

and its the only thing that will kill these pains.

Im gunna set this god damned town on fire.

Saving only the sinners and the liars.

I wanna scorch and burn this town,

Give people a taste of not going up, but down

I'll leave the burning ruins behind,

Get the damn place out of my mind.

{Chorus}

I've waited my entire life for this,

to see good people drown in their own piss,

to see all those bitchy preps

come tumbling down from heaven's steps

Punk rockers, moon stoppers, and crazy clowns

dancing, chanting, and burning down the town.

To see your heaven come to an end,

for the rebels to finally win.

-(chorus)-

You can scream and you can shout,

but this time not even God can help you out!

This is the end and the begining,

its what it looks like when the rebels are winning.

Good ridence, good bye

Im burning down this everlasting high....

What's wrong with rhyme? Good poetry can be both rhymed and
unrhymed, as can bad.

Kaju, next time ya get to use the fone, contact Andrew. Tell him we need a riff for this song and others. I think he hates me or sumtin so its best 4 you to call him, if you cant talk long you can always have him call me. We need to put together all our lyrix. Is it possible to copy and paste them into one big thing? well I'll try that tommorow evening. Peace mon.- Ska

Um... since you all have email addresses, perhaps this could be taken
to email? Not to be mean or anything, but this doesn't really have
anything to do with anything.

Thanks, Matt. I was going to e-mail you privately about this. Sarah, if you want to contact Kaju privately, a couple of options would be (a) have him sign up for his own free web-based mail account, or (b) one of you sign up for your own free Conversant-powered site for your private conversations. Or both.

I normally don't mind some topic drift...but this really isn't appropos to Unreason's purpose, is it?

It is, at least, better than Nitcentral's Political Musings, where a
discussion about the space program has turned into a debate about who
deserves to be called left-wing and who right. Fascinating, as you
can imagine. Of course, that's not really any farther off the topic
than this thread, but I find this thread to be much less boring.

I think, Matthew, that we can both agree the major difference is the character of the posters. Nitcentral is still afflicted with at least one poster who refuses to stay on topic, preferring to bring everything around to an attack on somebody, somehow, some way.
