Under 18 != Citizen By: Mark Morgan on 4/15/2001; 4:00 PM Here's a dilemna, for your perusal: nowhere in the US Constitution does it say anything about age, save for amendment involving voting age and age to be President. The Bill of Rights is mute on the subject. Over at Peacefire, a site dedicated to countering Internet censorship, Bennet Hasselton makes a couple of points, first that any notion of obscene is arbitrary; and second, that restricting the rights of minors in no less odious than restricting the rights of adults. Hmm. As a writer and opposer of censorship, who intends to be a father some day, I don't know how I feel about it. Interesting question, that.
RE: Under 18 != Citizen By: Brian Webber on 4/15/2001; 4:06 PM I once heard about a movement to get the minimum age for President lowered from 35 to 30. I agree with it. I think we learned from Reagen and Bush that age doesn't automatically make you wise.
