Thought 2 (My Mess, Not Yours!) By: Dawn Good on 10/22/2001; 12:46 PM Thought 2 (My Mess, Not Yours!) Have you ever just walked in the door and you can here your mother yelling down the hall, "Clean up that god-damned room it looks like a pig sty." If so then you know how hard it is to preserve your self-identity. You are probably a very messy person and appreciate a good well-organized mess. If not, skip this thought and go on to the next one, Live your life as a messy person. You prefer a mess, but you don't go around telling neat people to mess up their stuff so why should they have the right to tell you to clean up your mess. This is a violation of freedom of self-identity and they should respect your decisions and choices in life. We have many rights but what about the right to have and make a mess. I can see conflict in the matters of sanitation, but if it's a good clean mess, why should we have to change it? I leave you with this thought: My mess, not yours!
