Five years ago, I was divorced and in debt and more than a little depressed. I told a lot of people I was going to do a lot of things. I didn't do any of them. Until this year, when I moved to Portland, one of the things on the top of the list. I love this town--today I was standing at the bus stop, way too warm but not taking off my coat because it was hailing. When Milady Aradia visits I am a short trip to the Pacific Ocean. There are deserts and forests and hills and mountains and snow and (sometimes) sun. It's a great place to live.

One decision down.

I told people I would do a lot of things, and now I stubbornly move forward doing them, rather than just babble about them. Nowhere on that list was "Spend a lot of time at nitcentral blasting someone for pissing everyone off". Nitpicker Central holds a special place in my heart. I met Aradia there. I met my friends Matthew Patterson and ScottN and Mandy and Ben Cohen and Mike Cheyne and Mark2 there. The Puppet Ruling Council started at Nitcentral. Unreason began as just me, the First Advisor, and a bunch of people from Nitcentral writing things. I was there to watch the site's own, Phil Farrand, get shut out of publishing by evil legal machinations that had nothing to do with him and everything to do with corporate paranoia over properties they make money on.

Nitpicker Central was my first virtual home. The decision to leave it is final. It's time.

Me, I intend to focus some much-needed time here. I've got rants building that have been a long time coming. There's a cool new feature I haven't spent the time putting together, that you're going to just love.

And I'm going to go outside and play. Even if it's hailing while the sun is shining. Doubly so!
