Poetry? By: PJ Caroon on 10/22/2001; 8:17 PM missing the comfort in being sad reality's illusion seems too right loosing the one good thing i had its no good why stop the fight fading like the forgotten fad unseen darkness show me light meaningless requests in which im clad joyful sorrow blurs my sight (try and guess what its about, I wrote it late at night while listening to Nirvana)
RE: Poetry? By: Mark Morgan on 2/15/2001; 10:47 AM PJ, is "Poetry?" the title you want this to be published under?
RE: Poetry? By: Richard Davidson on 2/15/2001; 1:30 PM Cobain's untimely death?
RE: Poetry? By: PJ Caroon on 2/15/2001; 7:14 PM Oh... i see... you want a title. I'll play your game, Trebec. *tries to think up a title* I know! how does Unreality sound? or you could just call it chinchilla, pudding, sliver, or "The British Can't Cook"... and as a side note, this pome had nothing to do with the late Mr. Cobain. I just pulled some rhymes from that cerebral void of mine and stuck them together. Much like he did his pomes now that i think about it. These pretzels are making me thirsty! And with that my gracious overlord, I prostrate myself before you in gratititude and will humbly exit *Bows* *walks off*
RE: Poetry? By: Chie Theresa Fujioka on 2/17/2001; 10:11 PM so silly you are
RE: Poetry? By: PJ Caroon on 2/17/2001; 10:54 PM silly?? I was being serious! Those pretzels were extremely dry and stale. And that, Chie, is no joking matter. I hope to one day form a holy alliance of sorts to eliminate stale snack goods from the face of the Earth. If Any of you wish to join my cause, just drop me a line at pjc829@home.com. Thank you, PJ

RE: Poetry? By: Peter on 3/4/2001; 10:51 AM Any upward limit on the space for this board, Mark? Peter.
RE: Poetry? By: Mark Morgan on 3/4/2001; 11:42 AM Depends on what you mean. My hosting agreement is for unlimited space. But there's still no pagination in the topics view; that means that a single thread could theoretically be 500k long, or a terabyte, or any amount. That would take forever to load, and generate errors in Netscape to boot. So it depends on what you're thinking of trying. In web publishing it's often the case that it's better to try and break a long post into several smaller posts, and hyperlink between them. There are some stunning new features in Conversant that make pagination of long stories, with proper links between various parts, a snap. If you're thinking of posting something that is very long, contact me and we can work together to figure it out.
RE: Poetry? By: Peter on 3/4/2001; 2:37 PM Heh. No, I don't mean to mislead you. I just wondered if other things were being sacrificed to make space for the above thread. I just thought it a worry that such posts could test the space of a site. Peter.
RE: Poetry? By: Mark Morgan on 3/4/2001; 10:58 PM Wasted? By such a friendly, goofy thing as this thread? May the universe be so kind as to grant me many days of such a "waste".
RE: Poetry? By: Richard Davidson on 3/4/2001; 11:15 PM One afternoon, I forced ALL the groceries into the blender, creating a delicasy so delightful, I had to vomit for six days. I immediately called the Editor of "Strange" magazine, a filthy rag I wouldn't use for the bottom of my parakeet's cage. He asked if I was aquatic, which really was beside the point. I patiently explained, as I so often do, that the doctors had given up on me years ago, mixing painkillers with highly addictive muscle relaxers, anti-depressants, and some experimental substances they had bought from their kids. It had been months since I remembered my name or address, so I had decided to call myself Edgar. I was getting along fine with myself these days, and hadn't thrown rocks at the paperboy lately, either. This was good news for him, but he would be the first to admit he wouldn't have made the track team without my highly effective training methods. I had come up with a new invention: The Manilla Shake. That's right, a shake you can pour out of a brown paper envelope, and it could be any flavor you like, since it was entirely imaginary. I tried to explain this to the IRS guy they had sent over, but he was still thinking of numbers, and I had to tie him up for awhile, and gag him. This caused him to be far more attentive, and I made a mental note to myself that I would invite his entire family to my performance art piece, at a 20% discount. He couldn't understand why I put the receiver of the phone into the garbage disposal, and flipped the switch, but then, who really could? I sold him some magazines, and went back to cooking eggs, whistling the theme from "Love Story" off key, and staring at those FBI guys that were approaching from the woods.
RE: Poetry? By: Chie Theresa Fujioka on 3/5/2001; 4:01 PM When I ate the telephone me thought I'd be alone no more insanitary ringing no more doggy that not a bone! Down to my computer I sat sitting on my cat i needed to get a tan old monitors are good for that Then i started glowing pretty colours ooh I said fireworks stupid phone was clear, teenagers are such jerks but then i thought hey im a jerk too or am i? i dont know i am not! so how do i stop glowing and buzzing and ringing and beeping and pulsing and dialing and calling the home shopping network?
