Sorry to break it to you, Morgan, but green links on a green background just doesn't work. Maybe change it to a light grey. But not green on green.

Please, please, pleasepleasepleaseplease!

Easily enough done. Mark loves Style Sheets, although I know that closes off a nonzero amount of readers who don't support style sheets.

Actually, Mark, I hate to say it, because you've put up this really really nice playground for us, but I find it difficult to navigate and find the tops of threads.

Maybe it's just me...

Philosophically yours,

ScottN

Editor's note: this was originally a reply to ScottN, who is finding it hard to navigate the discussion group. I'm open to suggestion, and I wanted to everyone to see it, so I moved it here. I love Conversant--it took all of one click to make it part of Dreamzone. One. Darn. Click. Is anyone else having similar trouble? If you don't tell us, we can't make it better.

Scott, why don't you post your specific problems on the Conversant Support page? Navigation issues like that I can do little about, but the people who built Conversant are wonderful about taking suggestions.

Or just post here what in particular bugs you, and I'll point them to it.

Addendum: do you ever use the Ultimate Bulletin Board? There's an example over at Web Pages That Suck. Do you mean something like that, where all the messages are laid out in order? Or are you more comfortable with a slashdot-style staggered thread sort of thing, with the message at the top and the whole thread below it? Or something else?

If you give me suggestions as to what you prefer, I'll pass them on. The same goes to everyone here. There has already been a UBB version discussed, and /. style flat thread mode has been brought up, but the more feature requests, the better, I always say.
