Darkness By: Dorothy Marie Koveal on 10/21/2001; 5:35 PM The only thing that once allowed me to sleep, a comforting thought of my love for you returned in gentle harmony and understanding. Even that has been torn from my mind with so many veins filled of my blood, shreds of tissue, and pieces of my heart. Ripped out by the beaks of ravens, their black plumage shimmering cold in daylight, starlight, moonlight. Such were the times I was silenced by their deathly cold colorless eyes that I find staring into mine now in the darkness.
