The true ones.... By: Sarah on 10/21/2001; 4:20 PM I have recently come to realize that the true people in this world are hard to find, the ones that are truly what they act and act only what they are. The truly depressed ones dont show slit wrists when sad, the true rebels dont brag when they've been bad, the druggies that are in it for the drugs and not the coolness dont often brag about how messed up they happen to be or what they are on, the true angry ones actually do something when mad. The rest are just there as posers trying to be friends with the true ones, showing off the things that really aren't much to be shown, their slit wrists and graffiti. I say dont pose to be who your not, unless like me your posing as a poser.
Re: The true ones.... By: Mark Morgan on 8/29/2001; 11:29 PM I mostly agree with this. On the other hand, growing up is
much a process of trying on new ways of living like people try on new
coats. Just keep going until you find a life that you're happy
with.
I know that sounds like general hippy-dippy babble. I can
be more specific: I spent forever trying to understand exactly what
kind of life I wanted. College professor? Writer? Scientist?
What?
I am just now (as of about Tuesday last week) in a life I find
fits me: a job I really want to do, in a city I really want to live
in, with a woman I really love.
That's what I mean.
RE: The true ones.... By: Matthew Patterson, the Paranoid Minister on 8/29/2001; 11:34 PM Paradox: WIthout actually being that person, you can't tell if they're "posing" or if they're actually like that. Try thinking about it from this perspective a bit, it'll bug the hell out of you if you take it far enough. I do it all the time. ^_^
RE: The true ones.... By: Sarah on 8/30/2001; 5:50 PM I do that ne way the thing is written from what i believe to be true but i left something out and im abou tot edit that.
Re: The true ones.... By: Sarah on 8/30/2001; 5:55 PM well i have tried on most of theses and none seem to fit, but its not about me, its about not doing things to be cool, its about being true to who you are and acting it
