In doing to, they were able to negate the efect of global warming. However, mutations in the code have caused the plants to grow up to 300 times as fst. The result: Destroyed infrastructe. Skyscrpaers become covered in days and fall to the ground, killing scores of helpless peole trpped inside of the metal prisions.
Eventually, a team of gnetic scientists are abnle to genetically modify a virus that causes plants to wither and die within munites. Howevr, the plzants have become sentient. The haver tapped into the Internet by vbreaking open a c cable and due to thier unstable genes , have developed the ability tro interpet and transmit information via the Internet. As a result, the plants hack into a bank and divert funds to a new account made under the name John Smith. They pay mercenaries to stop the scientist from delivering the virus to the runaway kudzu. However, it becomes apparent that the lead mercenary, Abu Samosn, is the father of one of the scientrists in the roup. Eventually, Abu's son, Garson, is able to convince his fahter to help him destroy the plants.
