Does anyone remember September 11, 2001? I should hope so. Right afterwards, everybody was talking of eradicating terrorists and some people wore shirts that said Fuck Osama etc. Then once some of the memorials started happening, people started thinking. People thought less about planes and buildings, and more about all the victims. When the sadness set in, people started questioning their god. The primary question being of course, Where was God?
Where Was God?
In the same place he was when little Timmy got cancer. The same place he was when Nancy and John got married. And the same place he was when America got its independence.
He Was Right Over...Hey, Whered He Go?
God didnt move at all. God stayed in the same place for all those events-good or bad.
Is God Made Of Lead? Why Wont He Move?
Here are some words to live by: God loves us so much that he gives us freedom. (Steve Kidder) God doesnt move because he gave us the ability to move. We can move our arms and legs, and think with our minds, because we have that freedom, given to us by God.
So...Where Was He Then?
Its not Gods fault that the world trade center event killed people. Its not Gods fault that Timmy got cancer. And its certainly not Gods fault that the Patriots won the Super bowl. Its human error that let the terrorists get through, its human effort that got the Patriots to the super bowl, and its just by chance that little Timmy got cancer. Society should stop blaming God for everything, and put the blame where its due.
