It's About Choice Stupid

By Brian Webber

There are two groups on this planet that piss me off very much. Chauvenistic male pigs, and militant Feminists. Becuase both of them are WRONG!

Feminism was at it's core about choice. About what women want.

If a woman wants to stay home and raise the kids, more power to her, but if she wants to go to work, or back to work as the case may be, more power to HER as well.

It's all about choice. If a woman geniunely wants to be submissive to a man, fine. just don't expect me to give orders. The last thing I want is to be married to a June Cleaver-type.

But, the Militant Feminists are unfairly harsh and frankly cruel to women who choose to be stay-at-home moms. Well to them I say, "If they aren't being forced to do it, then leave them alone."

Then they shoot back at me the fact that I'm a Man, and thus inherently chauvenisitc and bent on dominating women. I usually laugh at that statement. Because it is such an obvious lie, how can I possibly get angry?

If a woman wants to dress conseratively, let her. If she wants to dress like a hooker let her do that too. But don't either sect of the newly factioned Feminism Movement (oh for the good ol days when it was all-for-one, one-for-all) tell you that you are hurting the cause of Womankind. Becuase there is no Womankind! No Mankind, just indivudals. We are the only species on Earth that is truly made up of inviduals. In the wild, a Lion with a sweet disposition is a fluke, and usually an outcast, unless they are lucky enough to found by Doc Ansell. But in humanity, a man or woman who is nice, is usually nice because they CHOOSE to be.

So that's what it comes down. Humanity is all about that porverbial fork in the equally porverbial road. What path you take should be decided by two factors; your decision, and the input of those you truly love and trust. Because, though we are indivudals, nothing can help improve your life more than having friends with which you'd be willing to trust your life.

End of Rant.
