VIRUS HOAX
By: Rachelle King on 5/15/2002; 2:12 PM

I know this has nothing to do with brainstorming for story ideas but I thought it might be useful info to you all anyway. There is an internet hoax going around proclaiming that the file "jdbgmgr.exe" is a virus that has infected from downloading emails. It is actually a legitimate Windows program file that reads java applets-er whatever-and scans for virus. go here for help: http://helpdesk.gwu.edu/helpdesk/whatsnew/sp02/jdbgmgr.exe_051002.html That is all,

Fortunately, Elroy the iMac is immune to such shenanigans.

I used to be a fan of the Computer Virus Myths Home Page, but now that it has become the immense advertising drenched Vmyths.com behemoth, I won't even point to it.
