How could you know me if you don't know my name? So, here is what it means: Dorothy is greek for Gift of god. Yes, I am of Greek heritage. I am one quarter Greek to be precise. Moving along now, Marie means "star of the sea" in french. It's a modified family name, though. All of my great grandmothers were named "Mary." But, I am far from common, as the frequency of my name may insinuate; I am one quarter Ukranean! I'll just get it all out here then; I am also one quarter Russian and one quarter Hispanic. I hope you are happy. Well, in any case, I am not "common" as my last name may suggest. I am something completely different. You will be able to see that in my writing if you look hard enough. Everything I write comes from experience and personal emotions. I don't believe in writing that doesn't. I don't even believe in songs that do not contain a piece of the author's soul in it. That is what communication is all about.
I am not just an insane writer, though. I also play the clarinet (I am actually in the same school band Matthew Patterson is). It always helps me to release my emotional stress. It's a wonderful way to express myself. My other expressions are put in forms of non-prose, and singing. Just random lyrics and tunes, but it is always poetry to music. Yes, I do sing in the shower, for all of you that are wondering. I am not embarassed of what I do. If I have done it, then i should be proud of it. Yes, I am a moderately sheltered child. My parents are over-protective, but do not take that statement as a negative one. It is the most positive thing any child could say about their parents. That means they truly do care about you; that they care enough to prevent you from taking chances on your life, and probably enough to lay down theirs for yours. Well, that is my sheltered take on it, anyway, straight from the mouth of a person of however old I am at this moment that you are now reading my bio. I was born in January 1985, so you can do the math.
I believe that you can tell a lot about a person by the type of music they listen to, and the "genre" (oh yes, all you milligan students KNEW it was coming!) of the books they read. I listen to just about everything, but I mostly listen to techno, rock, alternative, alternative rock, hard rock, metal, CLASSICAL, and I DO SO LOVE 80's music! I love everything about the 80's; their clothes, their music, their beliefs, their movies, their actors/actresses, their fun fun lives! It seemed all so easy then, and I only got in on half of it! Darn. Oh well.
I have written too much already, and it's still not nearly enough. I play soccer because it's fun, and I take TaeKwonDo because i hate being pushed around. I am also a powerlifter, but that is mostly because my coach (Coach B.) is the best coach you will find on the face of this planet. He's a huge teddy bear, and looks out for his team like we're his children.
