Andrew Paul McEwen

(E-Mail Andrew Paul McEwen)

This post is about my arrogant self and nothing else. The true meanings of my names mean nothing to me. I honestly could not care less about Andrew meaning "Manly" or McEwen simply being Ewen with the Scottish prefix of Mc upon it. Those are unimportant. However, combined they mean me, that is what I care about.

I attend the same school as Koveal, Fujioka, and Patterson. At this school I am in our NJROTC program and join Ms. Koveal on the Armed Drill Team (we flip rifles, if you call it a gun I suggest you watch the movie Full Metal Jacket and learn the subtle yet important difference). I also attended a Leadership Academy over the summer for NJROTC as well, which has somewhat changed my outlook on things in that you realize how you can waste your life in a different way.

I play five (5) different instruments: The Piano (7 years), the Flute (4 years), the Guitar (9 months, but getting good), the Tuba (For Jazz band, yes I am the Jazz Tubist!!), and the BAGPIPES! (no matter how long you play they still sound LOUD ;] ). I hope to play Guitar next year in Jazz band but my opponent this year was quite good and defeated me with only 12x as much time playing. I play Soccer and recreational Ping-Pong for some mighty large wagers with friends.

I am in a few school clubs: Mock Trial (one of my favorites), Science Club, Spanish Club (we just eat food), Hi-Y, and Mu Alpha Theta (Math club).

I am 1/2 Scottish, 1/4 Irish, and 1/4 German just to let you know.

My poetry if in standard rhyming form, will not be about emotion or enlightenment as many suggest it should be. My poetry is more of an inscrutable yet totally customizable peice. "Solo" for example (read before, this is a spoiler) is merely about a Pencil, the tree its mother, and paper its sisters. Yet a person could adapt this to a plebeian or anything that they see fit. This kind of poetry makes one think, or makes one mad.

I have two cats which are Tonkinese (Burmese + Siamese). I recommend getting this breed if you are looking for a new pet, my female (Nala, like in the Lion King) will let me basically juggle her and no matter how well I do it every night she comes and sleeps on my bed.

My Favorite Movie: Fight Club, 2nd Dogma, 3rd Braveheart My Favorite Bands (in no order): KMFDM, TOOL, Rage Against the Machine, and many others as long as they don't talk about trite things like only love. Songs like "Flagpole Sittah" by Harvey Danger and "One Week" by the Barenaked Ladies are examples of interesting songs. You should listen to "Lime in the Coconut", it changed my life.
